Who we are
Travel has been party of married life since our honeymoon in 1972. We “honeymooned” in Vevey, Switzerland and continued in “vacation mode” to Stuttgart and London. Work and kids kept our travel at a slower pace but since retirement we’ve kicked it up and do two to four trips each year.
Judy is a nurse and I was an engineer. I moved on to marketing, general management, consulting and was a small business founder. My pre-retirement career was as an instructor at Normandale Community College.
We started out in New Jersey, moved to New Hampshire where we studied, worked and raised kids for 12 years. Work took us to Minnesota for an 18 year stint and then back to New Hampshire to be close to family, and especially grandkids. We now live in Florida for half the year, Massachusetts (nextdoor to Rebecca) and two months in Maine at Onawa Lake.
We’ve been blessed by two kids, each of whom has brought forth two grandkids. Jeff, who does miraculous data stuff with his company in Boston and Kathmandu, Nepal, has Reagan and Carter. Rebecca, who does miraculous things whipping diabetes care into shape at Lahey Hospital, has Esme and Griffin.
Our motto has become, “Tick, tock. Let’s travel while we’re still upright and taking nourishment.” We find travel a rewarding way to experience different people, countries and cultures.
